- How do I register? We’ve tried to make the process as easy as possible. Within just a few clicks you can register a SOS Children’s Villages personal page or a team page:
- Click Start a Fundraiser
- Choose your initiative
- Are you creating a personal page? Or starting a team?
- Follow the steps in the registration form - Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*)
- Is there a registration fee? No, there is no registration fee. We do encourage you to kick off your personal fundraising by making a personal donation to your SOS Children’s Villages page.
- How do I join an existing team?
- Click on Support A Fundraiser
- Search the existing team name
- Click on Join Team
- Follow registration form
- Do I have to raise a minimum amount to participate? No, you do not have to raise a minimum amount to participate in a SOS Children’s Villages fundraising initiative.
Fundraising
- How will my money be used? Your money will be used to provide children in need with a caring, loving, and secure family environment where all their needs from food, health, shelter, and education are met. Since our founding, we have pioneered family-based childcare which is designed to provide a child with everything he or she might need, right up until independence. - How do I donate to support a participant or a team?
- Click on Support A Fundraiser
- Search the person's first or last name or team name
- Click search
- Click on the person or team to go to their fundraising page
- Click on Donate
- Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation? Yes, donations of $10 or more are tax receipted. Tax receipts will be emailed to you promptly after you make your online donation. If you choose to donate by cheque, tax receipts will be mailed to you once the payment has been processed at our Head Office. Cheques may be mailed to:

- I haven't received a tax receipt for my donation. What should I do? We would be happy to assist you. Simply email us at info@soschildrensvillages.ca or by give us a call at 1-800-767-5111. We will make the correction for you.
- I entered the wrong donation amount. How do I fix it? We've got you covered! Email us at info@soschildrensvillages.ca or by give us a call at 1-800-767-5111.
- I received cash/cheque donations. What should I do with them?
- Log into your SOS Children's Villages Cananda participant centre
- Click "Enter a new gift"
- Enter the contact information for the donor and gift information
- Choose payment type
- Click Add
- Add another gift, or log out

Note: We prefer and encourage you not to send cash via mail. Consider taking the cash to the bank and getting a money order or writing a cheque from your personal account.
- How do I get a fundraising kit? You can download the individual forms and a poster from the bottom of the website.
SOS Children’s Villages Fundraising Page Centre
- Help, I forget my password or having trouble logging in The fastest way to fix the issue is to request a new password. Click on Forgot Username and/or Password on the login page. Then follow the steps to request a password.
- How do I change my online fundraising goal?
- Log into your participant centre
- Click on the progress tab
- Under your goal amount click on Change
- Enter a new goal amount
- Click Submit
- How do I change the picture on my personal fundraising page?
- Log into your participant centre
- Click on the Personal Page tab
- On the right-hand side click on the Photos link
- Click on Choose File button and find the picture you want to use
- Click Save/Upload
- How do I change the messaging on my fundraising page?
- Log into your participant centre
- Click on the Personal Page tab
- Here you can update your page title and the messaging
- Click Save button
- How do I send an email to my personal network from my Participant Centre? If you want to use a pre-written template:
- Log into your participant centre
- Click on the Email tab
- Enter your future supporters’ names and email address in the “To:” field
- To enter multiple email addresses, use a comma in-between addresses
- Click on Use a Template and choose your template
- Then hit Send at the top of the page
- Log into your participant centre
- Click on the Email tab
- Enter your future supporters’ names and email address in the “To:” field

- Enter your subject line in the Subject field
- Write your email
- Then hit Send at the top of the page
- Can I send a Thank You email to my donors. Absolutely, and we definitely encourage you to do so.
- Log into your participant centre
- Click on the Email tab
- Select the Thank You email template and select Next -or-
- Update/Personalize your message
- Add/Import your contacts
- Preview and send your message
- How do I post my personal fundraising page link to my social media platforms?
- Log into your participant centre
- On the right-hand side click the Facebook or Twitter icon
- Log into your social media account
- Add a personal message to the post (optional)
- Click Share button
